Born in Philadelphia and raised in a Navy family, Rachel moved across the Eastern United States as a child. She studied at Massachusetts College of Art & Design in the early 2000s and eventually obtained a Double Bachelor of Visual Arts, Art History and Historic Preservation from Roger Williams University. She graduated in the top 20 percent of her class with a thesis of distinction award. Rachel went on to travel and live in Antwerp, Belgium working as a production intern for VICE Media.

At VICE, Rachel was part of the editorial and production teams, creating newsletters, press releases, and brand development. She pitched stories to the editors, writing interviews, book and music reviews, and photographing for selected articles. This experience was the jumping-off point in expanding her professional skills in the real world.

Back in the states, Rachel created an independent art magazine called Movable. The magazine featured artists, locally and internationally. She was a member of the Providence dance troupe TropiGals, performing vaudeville-inspired choreography and costume. She has assisted and managed wardrobe for film and music in Hollywood, California. She is a 2016 graduate & initiate of The Gaia School of Healing & Earth Education and a member of United Plant Savers.

Supporting herself creatively, Rachel worked as a fine dining server in Providence, Boston, Seattle, and Los Angeles serving celebrities, politicians, and public figures. Her experience in the hospitality industry has given her years of experience with people in fast-paced environments and new cities.

As if she hadn’t traveled or experienced enough, Rachel relocated to Australia in 2018 where she gave birth to her son and worked as an illustrator and writer. They relocated back to Rhode Island in 2023 where she works as a Marketing Coordinator for a design-build construction firm in Providence, Rhode Island. She is passionate about developing her creative marketing career, continues to make art, and is happy to be home.
